Ken Achenbach concentrates in financial institutions law with an emphasis on regulatory compliance and securities law issues. Mr. Achenbach organizes de novo financial institutions and their holding companies, including raising capital for new and existing entities. He handles purchases and sales of financial institutions and bank holding companies, as well as corporate reorganizations such as "going private" transactions. Mr. Achenbach advises financial institutions and their holding companies on the resolution of regulatory issues, the preparation and filing of annual and quarterly reports, proxy solicitation requirements and other securities law issues. Mr. Achenbach has also counseled shareholders as to the regulatory filings necessary in connection with transactions resulting in the change of control of financial institutions.

While in law school, Mr. Achenbach wrote for the North Carolina Journal of Law and Technology, and was a member of the Kenan-Flagler Business School mock-venture capital team.
