Toby Butler is an associate with Powell Goldstein LLP's Business & Finance Section. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, technology-related corporate transactions, securities regulation and general corporate compliance.

Mr. Butler has worked with a variety of clients including special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs), technology services companies, governmental entities, and other public and private companies. He has assisted clients with mergers, asset sales and purchases, securities sales and purchases, technology outsourcing and licensing, securities offerings, preparation of filings for the SEC, and maintenance of corporate records. Mr. Butler is also a member of the Private Equity Group and assists with the firm's regulatory and legislative representation and lobbying practice.

During law school, Mr. Butler served as the Senior Symposium Editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law and helped with the development of Vanderbilt's Technology and Entertainment Law Program. Mr. Butler currently serves as a member of DePauw University's Alumni Board of Directors.
