Mr. Hadley has an extensive background in counseling clients in complex corporate transactions, particularly those involving intellectual property and technology. His previous roles as general counsel and chief privacy officer in the corporate sector have provided him with invaluable insight on the impact of legal issues on his clients' business needs and allow him to provide "real world" solutions to clients.
Mr. Hadley focuses his corporate practice in the areas of information security and privacy, technology and business process outsourcing, telecommunications, intellectual property, information technology, software development and licensing and entertainment/media.
Mr. Hadley has overseen cross-border transactions in South and Central America, Asia-Pacific and the European Union involving information management, business processes, data security and privacy. He also has experience in providing information security and technology accessibility assessments/audits, data security breach remediation and risk mitigation, electronic records management and e-discovery.
Mr. Hadley has established and maintained corporate governance and compliance programs, including corporate board and committee oversight for public and private companies. He also has extensive knowledge of risk management and insurance, mergers, acquisitions and regulatory matters. Mr. Hadley has worked with cable and entertainment networks, telecommunications companies, financial institutions, sports franchises and start-ups with a focus on technology compliance, website review, digital rights, convergence, technology development, endorsements and licensing. He also has extensive experience in entertainment marketing, promotions and production.
Mr. Hadley acted as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of AirGate PCS, Inc. Prior to AirGate PCS, Mr. Hadley was Vice President, Corporate Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer with WorldTravel BTI, and was in-house counsel with Turner Entertainment Group/AOL Time Warner and MCI WorldCom. Additionally, he acted as Special Counsel to the President of The American Bar Association from 1993 to 1994.
Mr. Hadley is a frequent lecturer in the areas of intellectual property, privacy, data security and outsourcing.
