Mr. Oakes concentrates his practice in capital markets transactions. He represents institutional lenders, finance companies, loan portfolio servicers, banks and borrowers in a variety of secured and unsecured finance transactions, including Tenant in Common (TIC) Transfers, real estate financing, loan assumptions and general lender consent issues. He represents mortgage portfolio master servicers in connection with the TIC assumptions of secured loans, and represents mortgage portfolio master servicers in connection with lender consent issues (including partial releases, loan modifications, new leases and easements) of secured loans.

Mr. Oakes also has experience in CMBS mortgage originations and real estate matters.
