John C. Bush is an associate with Powell Goldstein’s Litigation practice group. His practice focuses on technology and intellectual property issues, particularly litigation to protect, and prosecution to obtain, intellectual property assets. Mr. Bush is a registered patent attorney.
In law school, Mr. Bush, who received an honor scholarship, served as an articles editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review, as a member of the Moot Court Board, and as vice president of the Honor Council. He also interned with the Tennessee Supreme Court and the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals. In college, Mr. Bush served terms as editorial page editor of The Chronicle, where he managed the editorial board and oversaw two full pages of content each weekday, and, later, online editor, where he led the consolidation of a paid 10-person programming and content staff into a single content editor. As a senior, Mr. Bush was a semifinalist for the Young Trustee position on the Duke University Board of Trustees.
Mr. Bush, a graduate of Lakeside High School in DeKalb County, is active in the bar through the Georgia Bar Journal’s Editorial Board and the Young Lawyers Division’s Ethics & Professionalism Committee. He also participates in the Duke University Alumni Admissions Program and sings weekly in a local choral group.
