Anne Camper focuses her practice in the areas of health law, health care transactions and general corporate and business law. She has successfully represented major public and non-profit hospitals and hospital systems, as well as physician groups and other health care providers, cities and counties, medical schools, technology-based corporations, national trade associations and other charitable and educational organizations.

Ms. Camper has extensive experience in corporate matters and transactions, particularly in the health care arena. These include governance changes, mergers and other acquisitions, medical education affiliations, physician staffing, joint ventures and other contracting. She represents the National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems and serves as corporate counsel to the American International Health Alliance. Ms. Camper has particular experience in the structure and operation of public and tax-exempt entities, as well as provider and educational affiliations.

For example, Ms. Camper worked closely with the Medical College of Georgia to convert its hospital into a separate nonprofit entity and draft a teaching and staffing affiliation agreement between the new hospital corporation and the Medical College. She represented the Hawaii Division of Community Hospitals in designing a new statewide health care authority for the administration of the state's community hospital system. She has assisted hospitals in assessing and applying for certification of their clinics as federally qualified health centers (FQHCs). She has also worked closely with the cities of New York, Denver, Boston and San Francisco, the territorial government of the Virgin Islands and many others in assessing or implementing health system reform. Ms. Camper has spoken and written widely on the topic of public hospital reorganization. She has also spoken and written about medical education affiliations, philanthropic foundations and capital financing.
