Mr. Lystad is an associate in the Advocacy and Government Relations Practice Group. He practices in the areas of regulatory and legislative representation, lobbying on behalf of companies and local governments and representing clients in front of regulatory bodies and state agencies. Mr. Lystad has experience representing clients in front of the following committees in the Georgia Senate and House of Representatives: Appropriations; Energy, Communications and Technology; Government Affairs; Insurance and Labor; Judiciary; MARTOC; Natural Resources and Environment; Regulated Industries and Utilities; State and Local Government, and; Transportation.

In addition to being a member of the Advocacy and Government Relations Practice Group, he is a member of the Business and Finance Practice Group where he practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities and corporate governance. Mr. Lystad is also a member of the Private Equity and Venture Capital team and represents investors and issuers in all aspects of venture capital and other private equity finance transactions.

Finally, Mr. Lystad advises clients in intellectual property transactions and information technology transactions. He assists clients through negotiating and drafting various professional service agreements, intellectual property licensing agreements and technology outsourcing transactions.

Mr. Lystad received his B.S. degree from North Georgia College in 2002. Mr. Lystad received his J.D. from Mercer University School of Law in 2005, and was a member of the Mercer Law Review, Mercer Moot Court Board, Brainerd Currie Honor Society and Dean's List.
