Lyn Schroeder concentrates in financial institutions law with emphasis on the regulation and structure of financial institutions. Ms Schroeder organizes de novo financial institutions and their holding companies, including raising capital for new and existing entities. She also handles purchases and sales of financial institutions and bank holding companies, as well as corporate reorganizations such as conversions to subchapter S status. Ms. Schroeder advises financial institutions on the resolution of regulatory issues, the preparation and filing of annual and quarterly reports, proxy solicitation requirements and other securities law issues. She also counsels clients on corporate governance issues.

Prior to joining Powell Goldstein, Ms. Schroeder was an auditor with an international certified public accounting firm. In this capacity, she conducted financial statement audits of various corporate and governmental entities, including financial institutions. Ms. Schroeder also has seven years' experience as a financial accountant with two financial institutions.
