Curtis J. Romig is a member of the Litigation team. Prior to joining Powell Goldstein, Mr. Romig clerked in the Norfolk Division of the Eastern District of Virginia for the Honorable Henry Coke Morgan, Jr., United States District Judge. Mr. Romig currently serves as the firm's Atlanta Hiring Partner and Assistant General Counsel.  Mr. Romig has assisted energy, technology, retail, healthcare, manufacturing and transportation companies in resolving commercial disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and state and federal litigation. He has experience with litigation in state and federal courts throughout the Southeast, having served for several years as national discovery counsel for a major home improvement retailer.

Mr. Romig's real estate litigation experience includes all manner of property related disputes. He has represented real estate developers, investors, property owners and tenants in courts throughout the Southeast in eminent domain, lease, easement, title, boundary and other property-based disputes.

Mr. Romig's construction dispute resolution experience includes resolving construction contract disputes related to nonpayment, defective construction and defective design for owners, contractors, design-builders, subcontractors and lenders through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and state and federal litigation. He also has extensive experience negotiating and drafting construction contracts and is familiar with all of the industry's major form contract documents.

Mr. Romig has extensive dispute resolution experience representing utilities and energy marketers involved in energy marketing. He has counseled these clients in matters involving informal dispute resolution, mediation, arbitration and litigation. These representations have involved almost every aspect of power supply, demand and transmission.
