Eliot Robinson serves as assistant practice group leader for the Firm's Business & Finance practice group. He concentrates in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, general securities law and related subject areas. Mr. Robinson has also represented Boards of Directors and special board committees in connection with significant corporate transactions and fiduciary issues. He has extensive experience with acquisitions, dispositions and corporate governance and as an advisor to boards of directors regarding takeover defenses. In addition, his practice has included public offerings and private placements of debt and equity securities, as well as ongoing compliance issues under the federal securities laws.
Mr. Robinson has represented clients in a variety of industries, including health care, real estate investment trusts (REIT), manufacturing and telecommunications. Mr. Robinson's experience includes spin-offs, recapitalizations and both friendly and unsolicited takeover offers. Mr. Robinson is frequently on the faculty of the Directors College co-sponsored by the National Association of Corporate Directors and the University of Georgia Terry College of Business. He has also taught securities regulation as an Adjunct Professor at Georgia State University Law School and published an article discussing Georgia's anti-takeover laws.
Mr. Robinson has also been recognized by Atlanta Magazine as a 2008 Georgia Superlawyer. |
