Jennifer Odom is the assistant leader of the firm's Litigation services group, which includes teams of attorneys and professionals specializing in Bankruptcy & Corporate Reorganization, Business Litigation & Arbitration, Intellectual Property, Securities and Torts.  Ms. Odom is a civil litigation attorney with a focus on fiduciary litigation, trust and estate litigation and complex commercial and corporate litigation.

Ms. Odom represents and advises fiduciaries, including executors, administrators, trustees, officers and directors, regarding fulfilling their fiduciary duties while serving in a fiduciary capacity. She represents individual and corporate fiduciaries in defense of claims for breach of fiduciary duty, breach of trust, and in actions for removal.

Ms. Odom also litigates matters involving business and commercial issues, including defense of class action and derivative proceedings, corporate control disputes, a broad spectrum of securities issues ('33 Act and '34 Act, SEC investigations and proceedings), D&O liability, valuation and other financial matters. Ms. Odom represents issuers, officers, directors, accountants and other professionals in securities disputes.

Ms. Odom represents companies and their officers and directors, as well as auditing firms and their auditors in SEC investigations and related litigation. For example, she represented auditors in connection with their audit of a publicly-traded company during a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission investigation into accounting and disclosure practices, as well as the tag-along class action and individual-plaintiff securities fraud suits.

Ms. Odom is a member of the firm's Special Matters & Investigations team and assists companies in conducting internal investigations for audit committees and other special committees of corporations, involving corporate governance, officer and director wrongdoing and accounting matters.

Ms. Odom is a member of Powell Goldstein's E-discovery team and assists clients in dealing with electronic discovery issues, document retention policies and the implementation of the new Federal Rules of Civil Procedure concerning electronic discovery.
