William Driggers focuses his practice in the areas of tax planning and the structuring of limited partnership real estate transactions involving the low-income housing tax credit and the historic rehabilitation tax credit.

Mr. Driggers has closed many low-income housing and historic rehabilitation tax credit transactions that permit his clients to maximize tax benefits and investment returns, all within the framework of the client's business goals. He has substantial experience in the taxation of charitable organizations, including representation of non-profit housing corporations. Mr. Driggers has also represented clients with respect to tax audits.

Clients of Mr. Driggers include syndicators and investors in low-income housing tax credit and historic rehabilitation tax credit transactions, developers of multifamily housing and historic rehabilitation projects, as well as state housing authorities.

Mr. Driggers has given presentations at numerous seminars and conferences on the low-income housing and historic rehabilitation tax credits, including presentations on partnership taxation and real estate tax issues. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Driggers worked for more than seven years for the Internal Revenue Service, first as a tax auditor, then as a revenue agent and finally as a tax law specialist in the National Office.
