William Crenshaw focuses his practice in the area of commercial litigation. Mr. Crenshaw has been involved in a wide variety of complex commercial litigation matters, including intellectual property issues, health care litigation, contested administrative proceedings, partnership disputes, fiduciary liability disputes, lender liability litigation, fraud claims, ERISA claims, probate litigation, breach of contact actions, real estate disputes, receiverships, contested foreclosures, banking litigation, creditors' rights issues and qui tam litigation. He also has broad experience in bankruptcy issues, including corporate reorganizations and the defense of fraudulent transfer and related claims.
Mr. Crenshaw has conducted several jury and non-jury trials and has handled appeals in state and federal court. He has been admitted to practice in over ten federal district courts and four federal circuit courts of appeal, as well as the United States Supreme Court. His clients include major corporations, insurance companies, banks, developers and individuals. Mr. Crenshaw has served as Assistant Counsel to the firm since 1995.
Mr. Crenshaw is also the coordinating partner in the firm's Washington, D.C., office for all bankruptcy matters. He has an extensive background in representing lenders in a variety of matters in and out of bankruptcy, including Chapter 11 reorganizations, contested foreclosures, receiverships, workouts, creditors' rights enforcement actions, lender liability claims and special servicer issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Crenshaw was Chairman of the Litigation Department of Valdes-Fauli, Cobb, Bischoff & Kriss of Miami, Florida, (formerly Mahoney, Hadlow & Adams). |
