Michael Chanin focuses his practice on corporate matters and trade associations. Mr. Chanin has served as a principal outside counsel for several associations where he advises on governance, structural and antitrust issues, business contracts, election and lobbying law and intellectual property. His colleagues advise on tax, benefit, human relations issues and represent trade associations in litigation. Mr. Chanin has assisted in the structuring and operation of standards development organizations.
In the corporate area, Mr. Chanin is particularly involved in representing technology and biotechnology companies, both established and development stage entities. He advises on and helps implement acquisition, financing and business strategies, including public and private financing, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Chanin co-chairs the firm's Biotechnology and Life Sciences task force. From 1978 to 1981, Mr. Chanin served as Deputy Assistant to the President of the United States. |
