Michael Chanin focuses his practice on corporate matters and trade associations.
Mr. Chanin has also been actively involved in federal election and lobbying law matters. He has advised clients concerning political contributions and activities, PAC formation and operations, advisory opinions, lobbying and foreign agent registration and disclosure requirements and compliance with ethics and gift rules. He has also served as a principal outside counsel for several trade associations where he advises on governance, structural and antitrust issues, business contracts and intellectual property. Mr. Chanin has also assisted in the structuring and operation of standards development organizations. In the corporate area, Mr. Chanin is particularly involved in representing technology and biotechnology companies, both established and development stage entities, in a wide range of business transactions.
From 1978 to 1981, he served as Deputy Assistant to the President of the United States. |
