Mr. Kilmer's practice focuses on representing unsecured creditors' committees, debtors and secured bondholders in complex Chapter 11 cases in a wide array of industries. He also represents secured creditors in single asset cases, acquirers of distressed assets and debtors and secured creditors in out-of-court workouts. Additionally, Mr. Kilmer has extensive experience with general business litigation matters.

Mr. Kilmer is a contributing editor to Collier on Bankruptcy Taxation, where he is responsible for writing and editing the publication's chapter on Priority and Dischargeability of Tax Claims. He also serves as the Assistant to Contributing Author for the Taxes section in Collier on Bankruptcy.

Mr. Kilmer has held many leadership positions and has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards including, president of the debate team and the 1994 New England regional debate champion, chief justice of the Moot Court Board, being named to the National Order of the Barristers and the Tulane Volunteer of the Year for 2008. Additionally, Mr. Kilmer was named as a Rising Star in 2004, 2005 and 2006 by his legal industry peers.
