Leah Mendelsohn Stone focuses her practice in the areas of health law and policy. Ms. Stone provides regulatory and legislative counsel to national associations, states, public and non-profit hospitals and other health care providers.

Prior to joining Powell Goldstein, Ms. Stone was the Research Regulations Specialist at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health where she assessed compliance with laws impacting research, interpreted the impact of HIPAA on research plans and implemented a quality assurance and quality improvement program for the human research protections program.

While in law school, Ms. Stone received the Dean's Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in the Study of Health Law. Additionally, she was a Notes and Comments Editor of the Emory International Law Review.
