Mitchell S. Allen is a partner in Powell Goldstein LLP's Labor and Employment Practice Group. Mr. Allen assists employers on a variety of labor and employment matters, which principally include the following:

  • Providing advice and counseling on labor relations and employment discrimination issues, including managing and conducting investigations regarding employee wrongdoing (i.e. sexual harassment, theft, and substance abuse).
  • Representing management in employment related litigation, including mediation and labor arbitration in state and federal court.
  • Drafting employment-related policies and compliance programs, including restrictive covenants and confidentiality agreements.
  • Conducting training seminars on a variety of labor and employment-related topics.
  • Assisting employers on labor relations strategies and programs.

Mr. Allen's practice also includes significant representation of management in all matters relating to occupational safety and health (OSHA) law. This includes representing employers before state and federal administered OSHA agencies during safety and/or health inspections, defending citations arising from these inspections, developing written safety and health policies and programs, and conducting OSHA compliance audits.
