Peggy Kane, Associate, Business Litigation and Arbitration
In the spring of my first year as a law student I was traveling through Atlanta and stopped to visit with a college friend who was an associate at PoGo. He encouraged me to look at Atlanta and his firm so I dropped my resume as a courtesy. Having only recently begun to consider working for a law firm as opposed to a non-profit or university, I fully expected to dislike the culture at a large Atlanta firm. My on-campus interview was surprisingly enjoyable and interesting so I accepted a call-back. I flew into Atlanta in the midst of a hurricane, missed my fancy dinner and yet still loved the Firm and the city. Back at school, I began to look more seriously at PoGo's statistics, history and attorney profiles. I was impressed by the diversity of the firm, the number of women partners and leaders, and the breadth of practice areas. Fortunately, my impressions of PoGo as an applicant have proven true -- it is a progressive environment with smart, diverse, funny and interesting people who work hard to succeed and serve their clients' needs. At the same time, PoGo attorneys value life outside of work and take an interest in each other as people.
