The Atlanta-based law firm hired Walter A. Herring as a partner. Herring was a litigation partner with Fulbright & Jaworski LLP. His practice is focused on business litigation, particularly real estate and commercial mortgage-backed securities litigation and related issues.

Powell Goldstein also named Jay L. Krystinik an associate. Krystinik was previously with Kirkpatrick Lockhart Preston Gates LLP. His practice focuses on general litigation matters, including real estate, environmental and employment litigation and bankruptcy matters.

Both are members of Powell Goldstein's litigation services group.
