U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services just published a regulation implementing 20,000 additional H-1B numbers for individuals with a U.S. Master's degree or higher. Petitions under this provision may be filed starting in five business days, on May 12, 2005. Employers will have to act quickly to take advantage of these additional numbers before they run out.
