Powell Goldstein LLP has hired Roy E. Hadley Jr., former general counsel of AirGate PCS (NASDAQ: PCSA), as counsel in the firm's business and finance practice.

Before his work with AirGate, he was corporate counsel and chief privacy officer with WorldTravel BTI, and was in-house counsel with Turner Entertainment Group/AOL Time Warner and MCI WorldCom. Hadley's practice focuses on complex corporate transactions, particularly those involving intellectual property and technology.

He has represented clients in matters including information security and privacy, technology and business process outsourcing, intellectual property, information technology, software development and licensing, and entertainment/media.
