(From right to left) Jack Horne, Chairman for the Senior Citizens Services of Metropolitan Atlanta Foundation with Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin and Jeff Riddle, Executive Director of Senior Citizens Services at the kickoff of "Carrier Alert" a new program of the United States Postal Service for seniors in the Atlanta area. This nationwide community service program brings together the resources of the USPS, social services agencies such as Senior Citizens Services and the National Association of Letter Carriers in a cooperative effort to serve senior citizens,the handicapped and the homebound. These Letter Carriers assist in alerting the service agency or emergency services of anything they observe when delivering the mail to these citizens of our community.
