McAlpin has practiced corporate law at Powell Goldstein for 22 years, and has served in a number of leadership positions in the firm over the past 10 years. McAlpin was the youngest member to be elected to the firm's board of partners in 1997. He is a member of the board of councilors for the Carter Center, a member of the board of directors of the Midtown Alliance and the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.
