Some of our recent representative transactions include:

* Affordable Housing

    • Represented developers in acquiring and financing affordable multi-family rental projects and tax credit investors in connection with low-income apartment projects
    • Served as counsel for a consortium of commercial banks participating in permanent loans for affordable multi-family housing projects
    • Served as bond, underwriter's and developer's counsel in numerous tax-exempt and taxable multi-family housing bond issues aggregating billions of dollars in financing

* Commercial Leasing

    • Represented a worldwide operator of executive business suites leasing multiple locations in the United States; developed an intranet leasing database containing relevant information on all of its 460 business centers and an international company as landlord of a national pool of properties consisting of office, industrial/warehouse, retail and apartment space
    • Represented a public building supply company as tenant in distribution warehouse leasing matters throughout the U.S., a national retail chain as tenant in single and multiple occupancy space, a public credit card company, as tenant, in negotiating and leasing its 150,000 square foot headquarters, and a Fortune 500 company in connection with its facility leases, including build-to-suit, in multiple states
    • Represented landlords and tenants of medical office facilities, and represented landlords and real estate brokers in securing and negotiating commercial office leases with the federal government
  • Corporate Real Estate Services
    • Developed a leasing Intranet database for use by an executive suites business with 460 leased facilities throughout the United States
    • Advised a client in connection with the development of a new $140 million corporate headquarters and manufacturing facilities, including documenting economic incentives from state and local governments
    • Represented agent for syndicated bank group in developing multi-state forms and managing process of taking mortgages on more than 600 childcare facilities in nearly 40 states
  • Federal Real Estate Services
    • Issued the landmark legal opinion approving the private sector bond issue for renovation of the City Post Office Building in Washington, D.C., pursuant to a public-private partnership
    • Chartered and chaired the Lease Revision Task force of the U.S. General Services Administration, an initiative to study and recommend changes to the government's lease terms for the purpose of improving the desirability of federal leases
