The pool for business and technical talent is global. Businesses today need to be able to draw upon this talent in order to compete domestically and globally. The immigration laws need not be an impediment.

Our immigration team advises and assists businesses and investors in facilitating the entry of executives, managers, professionals and essential technical personnel to work in the United States. Our service-oriented team shoulders the bureaucratic and regulatory burdens and ensures compliance of the immigration laws by representing clients before the various federal agencies charged with administering the complex immigration laws, such as the USCIS, the State Department and its U.S. consulate and embassies and the Department of Labor.

Our team consists of attorneys active in immigration on a national and international level. The team includes a former Chapter President and Board of Governors member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and members of national and local USCIS and DOL liaison committees. The attorneys speak regularly on immigration law nationally and internationally.

Together, we have:

  • Facilitated the employment of global talent for clients ranging from the multi-national conglomerate to the individual investor
  • Advised and assisted multi-national businesses undergoing a merger or acquisition to ensure continued work authorization of international hires and compliance with the immigration laws
  • Represented not only foreign corporations and investors to send key personnel to their U.S. operations, but also strictly domestic U.S. companies who increasingly find themselves employing foreign nationals in various scientific, engineering and other professional positions
  • On a nationwide basis, assisted employees of clients in obtaining permanent residency under the various employment-based preference immigrant categories, which may include the labor certification process
  • Advised companies on the development and implementation of compliance procedures and processes internally in connection with the verification of work eligibility of all employees
  • Provided immigration advice regarding the structure and the operation of start-up entities and multi-national offices
  • Structured company-specific inbound and outbound questionnaire packages for large companies to facilitate and streamline the visa process and visa issuance
  • Advised companies regarding the content of offer letters to and agreements with international hires
  • Assisted companies in securing foreign visas for U.S. employees to work abroad
  • Secured and expedited visas for artists, entertainers and athletes
